starting to network…

Had a short phone conversation with Tom Wood this evening to basically ask him some quick questions about coming out to the art world… The general consensus was that there’s no problem with getting your art out there it’s just important to be noticed and to be noticed you have to be good, better than anyone else who is doing the same thing. He also mentioned that as a young artist being part of a collective is a good start up way to find your feet and be seen on a larger scale as there will be a few of us who will be able to help each other out etc.

Apart from speaking to Tom, I have also messaged a copywriter on twitter and am now waiting on a reply… awkward. Networking is hard, it makes me feel as though I am being a bit of a stalker but then again there is no such thing as bad advertising…
